Lecture at the Iconic Houses Conference Peter McMahon will be speaking at the Iconic Houses 2018 Conference Four days of lectures as well as tours of modern houses, in and around New Canaan. The conference goes from the 15th to the 18th, and then moves to Cape Cod, where CCMHT will be leading a tour of four of Wellfleet's modern houses. It's a great line-up of speakers and houses. Eastham MA A Talk on Art, Ecology and Architecture by the 2017-18 CCMHT Researchers in Residence A series of short presentations on Art, Ecology and Architecture from artists and NPS scientists resulting from our 2017-18 Art/Science Research Residency Speakers will include Mark Adams (artist and Park Service cartographer), Josh Edwards (poet, artist), Sophia Fox (Park Service aquatic ecologist), Dylan Gauthier (artist, curator), Marie Lorenz (artist), Peter McMahon (CCMHT founder), Nancy Nowacek (artist), Kendra Sullivan (artist, curator), Jeff Williams (artist) and Lynn Xu (poet) Free and Open to the public Saturday, May 19, 11am - 6pm Kugel/Gips House, 188 Way 626, Wellfleet Between Species/Between Spaces: Open House and Exhibit of Work from our 2017-18 Art/Science Research Residency The restored Kugel/Gips house will be turned into a museum for the day. Artists and researchers will be on site to discuss their projects. Free and Open to the public Sunday, May 20, 11 am Meet at Cahoon Hollow Beach Beach Clean-up and Ocean Debris Adoption Join artist Nancy Nowacek on a beach clean up to collect ("adopt" in the words of the artist) ocean debris and create our own PETs. Free and Open to the public June 10 and 24, July 8 and 15, August 5 and 26, Sept.16 and 30 Summer Sunday House Tours Sunday tours include the Weidlinger House, The Kugel Gips House and the Hatch House.
