The CHB Read & Review Club is for educators and students who enjoy reading and would like to share the joy of reading with others through reviewing and recommending books. As a bookshop, we often receive special review copies of books in advance of their release dates so that we can review them. Check out what Samantha has to say about the book:Wow, all I can really say is wow. I mainly picked the book out because I loved how the cover was done. I never expected it to be such an amazing book! The Eye of Midnight was extremely hard to put down! I wanted to see what came next. It could've been two o'clock in the morning and I would still be reading because I wanted to find out what happened next. The ending.... Wow! The ending made me hold my breath! But I will not give any spoilers! I would definitely recommend this to middle grade students or just anyone who loves middle grade books. Sometimes getting the details right when you are writing historical fiction is hard - mainly because it is fiction - but Brumbach nails every detail! Action, suspense, thrills, mystery - who would not love this book? The characters were all unique and interesting so I was never bored. It was well thought out, and I believe it was nearly perfect! I cannot wait for the sequel to come out. Give this book a try! I promise you will not be disappointed!
