Carol Ponder And Robert Kiefer Blog Wow. Life has a way of just happening....

Dear Friends - Life has given us a full range of experiences in the last three months. Robert had a hip replacement in December and I had one in February. We also had two great losses - Robert's mother died in her sleep on October 27 - just as she wished. The family will get together in Columbus, OH where she lived, as soon as all can manage to get there at the same time. Richard, Robert's older brother, his wife, Cheryl, their three daughters, and two grandchildren all live there as well and were key to Mildred's care in her last years. We miss her and thank them so much. Last week Robert and I lost one of our closest friends. Scot Copeland, the Producing Director at Nashville Children's Theater for 30 years, died suddenly of a heart attack. We, along with his wife, Rene (Director at Nashville Repertory Theater), have had such a wonderful friendship for the last 30 years. The whole community is trying to take care of Rene and their two sons, Josh and Ben.We have not missed any performances of My Father's War. That simply isn't an option in our business - especially when people like Mildred and Scot are watching! The mission continues to grow and to become more clear as we get help from our new Advisory Committee (more about them in the next entry). We have several shows booked in 2016 and are hard at work on nailing down more.So - thanks for your patience. We'll get caught up with spreading My Father's War news soon. In the meantime, love each other - and share that out loud every chance you get.Thank you for your interest and support - always.Blessings,Carol and Robert
