Sean Clark is a New Client Adoptions Agent at Capture Education, and a former teacher of fourteen years.I realized my junior year of high school that I wanted to become a teacher, and it had a direct correlation with my development and maturation as a student. Before high school, I was never very engaged in school and was often defeated by my inability to grasp concepts or develop the skills necessary to be considered a "good student." These struggles were further hindered by my desire to entertain in order to compensate for my lack of academic success. My teachers, counselors, and school administrators soon knew me as an underachieving class clown, often placing me into the environment that would least distract those students who had a chance to be successful. Years of trying to fit into an educational mold, along with the frustration of my parents and teachers, led me to resent school and struggle to maintain passing grades.
