Capstone Technology: Area software maker acquired for $22.5M

Industrial software maker Capstone Technology Corp. has been acquired by United Kingdom-based Spectris (LSE: SXS) for $22.5 million. Founded in 1997, Vancouver-based Capstone makes software used in industrial plants for training and automation. The company targets customers in oil and gas, pulp and paper, chemicals and refining, and metals and mining.
