C-Burn Systems Blog Field Maneuvers 2016

I spent this weekend very damp in a field near Oxford. Despite the rain on Friday and Saturday and a minor flood in the middle of our tent, I still had possibly the best festival experience of my life that's including many of the big dogs in the festival game. Field Maneuvers is a tiny little festival with only 700 tickets available, but that's what makes it so intimate, you are right up close with the performers at all times and the attention to detail is impeccable.Friday and Saturday had 3 tent's to choose from, Potala Palace, Sputnik Dome and Field Moves, each space designed with a certain atmosphere in mind and of course had perfect sound. On the Sunday (incidentally the only day it didn't rain) they opened a new outdoor stage and closed the rest, resulting in all the attendees congregating together and creating best atmosphere to take you through until the evening. The Sunday evening brought out the big hitters with a line up that went from Greg Wilson, Mike Servito, Studio Barnhaus (Axel Boman b2b Kornel Kovacs and Pedrodollar), Ryan Elliot and a mind blowing-ly incredible closing set by the wonderful Black Madonna. The line up was a work of art bringing some of the most interesting DJ's and producers together and programming them perfectly, for me it was probably the best music I've heard at a festival ever. The atmosphere was incredible and by the end due to such low numbers, you felt like one big family. I will definitely be buying my ticket as soon as early as possible for next year and you should definitely do the same.
