Greetings and salutations from your humble Brixton Way team! No we didn't forget about you all. On the contrary, Matt and I are thinking about you on a daily basis. I myself just recently got back from the greatest honeymoon I've ever been on... Actually, the only honeymoon I've ever been on, but with my wedding behind me and a few more ideas to go along with it, I am once again attacking the social side of all things Brixton Way with a fury!Matt has been busy while I've been away, compiling our preferred vendors, finalizing some architectural changes and laying out our 2016 goals. It's an exciting time for us, with the Kohler expo just around the corner and, of course, the bombardment of emails we have received in the last few months asking "when this sucker is going to be open?!" Now on to the metaphorical talk. This time I'll compare Brixton to a boat. It isn't actually a boat, but in my post it will be a boat. Ready?Imagine Brixton is a boat.All of the hard work that Matt and I put into this endeavor, well that's the wind that pushes the boat. Some days Brixton sails across the lake. Other days we have to use the oars because someone or something took all of the wind out of our sails. Funding an idea like this; of this scale and magnitude is not easy. Not in the least. There are days when we feel like we are treading water....But just as the frustration begins to kick in, someone sends us an email wanting to book, because they love the drawings. The drawings? They haven't even seen the space! Crazy right?Other times it's a conversation with a loved one, telling us to push forward.And the best ones... well the best ones come from the Lord. That gentle whisper that says "what you are doing is right."Keep that wind in our sails folks. Keep on praying and keep cheering us on. We are closer now than ever before.
