Blount Fine Foods: Blount Fine Foods officially moves HQ to Warren

WARREN, R.I. (WPRI) - Blount Fine Foods has officially moved its headquarters back to the Ocean State. The fifth-generation, family-owned seafood manufacturer formally opened its brand new headquarters earlier this month. The new headquarters, located off Market Street in Warren, is now home to its corporate and executive offices. Though its headquarters had been located in Fall River for more than two decades, Blount Fine Foods has strong roots in Rhode Island. The manufacturer was first founded in the 1880s as an oyster harvesting farm in Barrington. It eventually moved to Warren, where its manufacturing facility remains to this day. Blount Fine Foods' new headquarters and its Water Street manufacturing facility are less than 10 minutes away from one another. "We are so thrilled to bring our headquarters to Warren," Blount Fine Foods President and CEO Todd Blount said. "We are looking forward to growing and driving Blount's future success while returning to our Rhode Island roots." The manufacturer plans to eventually construct a permanent building for its corporate offices, according to Blount. He said the Market Street building will serve as a "transitional headquarters" for its 140 corporate employees until then. Despite moving its headquarters, Blount said the manufacturer will still have a presence in Massachusetts thanks to its Fall River production facility. Blount Fine Foods is best known for its prepared meals, seafood and soups, which can be purchased at retailers and restaurants nationwide.
