Better Basics, a Birmingham nonprofit group, has moved its headquarters to the Parkside area of downtown. Ammie Akin, executive director at Better Basics, said the group has moved in at 1231 2nd Ave. S., Ste. 1231. They will host an open house event on Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. to introduce the new space. The organization was previously located in West Homewood.
