The Mission Mountains of MontanaPart of the Northern Rocky Mountains, the Mission Mountains are a simply beautiful mountain range. The mountains are a wildlife habitat for many animals including grizzly bears, black bears, mountain lions, foxes, bobcats, coyotes, weasels, martens, marmots, rabbits, mountain goats, lynx, elk, deer, and lots of raptors including hawks, owls & eagles.During all seasons of the year, you can enjoy hiking & climbing in the mountains. In the winter, snowshoeing, sledding & cross-country skiing are popular. Not too far away, snow skiing is available at several ski resorts including Blacktail Mountain Ski Area & Big Mountain. The National Bison Range lower road is open & perfect for photography of beautiful vistas, elk & deer herds & of course, bison. Even the lower roads of Glacier Park are open & provide great photography opportunities. Bear Spirit Lodge B&B is open upon request in February & March. On April 1st we will open for B&B & be open thru October. We look forward to enjoying all seasons of the year with you!
