Bayonette: Bayonette and ALTEN Calsoft Labs Develop First vCPE Solution Based on Linux Containers

As the costs of network related services continue to rise, everyone across the value chain is deploying new technologies to more effectively use their resources. Customer premise equipment (CPE) is growing especially costly as providers transition to new technologies and upgrades. In order to manage the increasing costs, Bayonette and ALTEN Calsoft Labs have come together to deploy a virtual CPE, or vCPE, based on the Linux containers.
