Digital Printing is not always considred to be a high end print process. It won't set your piece apart from anohter, and it's not going to jump out to your clients. However, if you add foil stamping or embossing to a digitally printed piece it can completely change the look of the piece. Our best suggesion is to know the materials and what you are working with. Certain stock are made for digital printing and and will give you the highest of quality in the images. The good news is foil stamping is compatiable with most papers. When printing and foil stamping on two sides, using a thicker stock will make it less likely to see the impression on the opossite side. Using metallic stocks presents its own set of problems. You will want to make sure that when desiging your not doing a full bleed of colors on both sides of the stock, metallic paper is not made to be digitally printed on two sides and can leave the image looking "messy" and not a full coverage look you may be after. Our FAVORITE part of mixing processes is it won't break the bank. Foil stamping and embossing is charged out per square inch so for a minimal cost you can give your business card, post card, save the date or invitations that little extra pop to really make it stand out to your clients or guest!!
