The full-size Chevy production was on the rise in 1962, and the Impala was already the number-one model in the lineup. The GM brand sold over 1.4 million cars, and the Impala was king with over 700K units.
The Impala could be had as a four-door sedan, two and four-door hardtop, convertible, and station wagon with room for six or nine passengers.
