Assembla: Idera Buys Assembla

Houston-based software developer Idera said on Thursday afternoon that it has acquired Assembla, a developer of source code management software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Assembla becomes part of Idera's Developer Tools business, which also includes Embarcadero, Whole Tomato, Sencha and Froala. Assembla's software works with Git, Perforce and Subversion, plus package management services for npm, NuGet, Bower, Maven, PHP and others. Assembla was based in San Antonio.
