An example of how I brace a large panel. This one is 54″x96″ and is for Portland artist, Glenn Clevenger. For its size, this panel is surprisingly light. I used 1/8″ Baltic Birch for the face instead of the usual 3/16″. Because of the additional bracing a panel of this size needs to remain stable, I felt comfortable using the slightly thinner material, and ended up with a panel that's rigid and relatively lightweight.
