Hey all, it's Jake again. I'm back on the blog for the foreseeable future, considering oh, I don't know, WE LAUNCHED OUR SECOND SUMMER TOUR! First of all, I want to welcome all the new readers, which I imagine a lot of you are! Basically, this is where I will post updates and stories from our trip as we go. I am aiming for it to be a daily blog, but I may miss a few days. Just know that this will be updated frequently for the span of the trip. My hope is to let you all be a part of our group, in a way, and to write stories that inspire. I highly encourage commenting below and interacting on our social media pages as well. Alex, Dalton and I would truly love to hear from you!! Things have changed a bit since last year. We got a new RV. I grew facial hair. We added a videographer. The biggest difference, perhaps, is that Ted (my beloved brother) and Jesse (last year's best addition ever) will not be joining us. Don't fret! This summer is going to be the raddest yet. I am especially excited about this year for many reasons. For one, we're traveling even further than the 7,000 miles we covered last year (that's a tough feat, I know). We're spreading kindness not only out west this summer, but also up and down the east coast and in the south. All this tacks up to roughly 10,000 miles and about 9 weeks on the road, as we're planning now. Though we know things don't always go according to plan, nor should they. After all, "random" is in our name. Another reason I'm excited is the new ride. If you didn't know, Thor Motor Coach and a few other companies pitched in to hook us up with a brand new Ace 30.2 motorhome for ARK traveling! Every time I step foot in this thing I am blown away. Our new home on wheels is going to change the game. Hopefully, more time ARKing, less time repairing after breakdowns. Lastly, I am OVERJOYED that we have a super fun, talented, and passionate videographer joining us this time around. We are taking the documenting of our trip to the next level with Ruth. Together with her help, we will be able to create a story that can be shared with multitudes and really capture the heart of our movement. Our goal is to inspire an epidemic of kindness, and she will be key in our effort to get the word out. Get ready, everyone. Let's change the world. #JustDoOne Jake Thatch
