What a Woman Wants Expo - November 2014Today we finished up presenting Apotheterra and what we do to the attendees of the What a Woman Wants Expo, located in Sandy, UT. This marks the 3rd attendance to this event. To be honest it was a disappointing showing. The crowds were smaller this go around and I felt like we lacked the connection we were able to create in prior shows. Since the last show we had scaled down the product selection to focus on our best sellers. Other things were different as well that we will still be evaluating as we approach events like this in the future. To be honest though the products are easy to sell once people can feel and smell them, otherwise they blend in with the other hundreds of other "lotions" on the market. So, the real question is, how do I get them into, err, onto the hands of those that are looking for them. One push I will move towards in the coming months is to personally demonstrate the products at pharmacies in the area. It will add a personal touch if one of their local pharmacists is just providing samples without trying to make a sale at the same time. None of the other "lotion" manufacturers are doing that and I will be able to hold someone's attention that might be in a moment of need.Let's face it, winter's here. Maybe the landscape doesn't show it yet but your skin can feel it. Moisture content in the average American household is plummeting for the winter season and soon many of us will show telltale signs of drying or cracking. Those are my thoughts on the matter but honestly I feel like I'm just one guy, what the heck do I know about launching a product I hope becomes the next big thing, just like everyone else. If you have any thoughts, please share them as a comment below or send them as a Facebook message. I appreciate feedback.
