ApexSQL: Quest Buys ApexSQL

Aliso Viejo-based software developer Quest Software announced on Thursday morning that it has acquired ApexSQL, a developer of SQL Server development and database tools. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. Quest Software is a developer of IT systems management, data protection, and cybersecurity software. According to Quest, the acquisition will help it strengthen its quest Information Management business, by adding tools to help database administrators automate the management, movement, and performance of SQL Server databases. ApexSQL was based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
