APD: Abilene Public Library launches new VR book collection

The Abilene Public Library (APL) is launching their VR Book Collection! APL is excited to announce the addition of the new Immersive Reality (IR) book collection for children grades K-7th. Patrons can download the IR book app, use their mobile devices to scan the QR codes, and explore space, animals, geography, and even more topics using a set of cardboard VR goggles. Each kit includes the VR Book and 1 set of goggles. The kits can be checked out and returned at the circulation desk, and they are available to be checked out for three weeks. They will be available to check out starting May 1st at the South Branch, and will be located at the end of the juvenile section by the DVDs.
