Acorda Therapeutics Inc. can't recover $65 million in restitution beyond the $16.5 million an arbitrator awarded for royalties it voluntarily paid to Alkermes Plc after the expiration of a licensed patent, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.
Acorda is a New York-based biotechnology company that researches and develops neurology therapies for the treatment of Parkinson disease, migraine and multiple sclerosis.
