Ace Cleaning Systems Blog Cotton String vs. Microfiber Flat Mops For Cleaning Floors

We do general cleaning and maintenance work for many condominiums in the Broward county area. Recently, a condominium board member asked me how we got their floors looking so clean with just a mop when their prior cleaning company had done such a poor job. I asked her what type of mops were used before we started cleaning their facility. Her answer was: cotton string mops. I explained to her that we use microfiber flat mops that are much more effective at trapping and removing dust and dirt than conventional cotton string mops. In addition, microfiber flat mops are easier to clean, use less water, and are easier to maintain than cotton string mops. So, if your floors are still looking dirty after they have been mopped, its time to ask your cleaning company what type of mops they are using!
