If you like electronic music, then you most likely heard about Disclosure. They are a very popular band in this genre but, as always, what makes them special is the fact that they manage to combine numerous genres in order to come up with a unique sound. And indeed they do! Disclosure is an English based band that combines deep house with future garage, UK garage, synthpop, funky as well as normal house and because of that they are highly praised all over the world, which is quite amazing!Few people actually know that Disclosure is actually comprised out of two siblings named Howard and Guy Lawrence which grew up in Surrey. They aren't that old on the music scene, since their first album named Settle was released in 2013, but it received critical acclaim shortly after that and it was actually nominated for the Best Dance and Electronica album at the Grammy Awards in 2014, which definitely managed to push their musical career forward as a whole.Shortly after that, they engaged into a massive tour in Europe, with more than 40 cities being covered, which is an amazing thing considering the humble beginnings of the duo. But this shows, once more, that music doesn't really care about who you are, instead it's the talent that makes the experience fun and exciting. This is the case of Disclosure, because they managed to actually combine multiple genres in a way that's very appealing.Let's face it. doing this is very tricky because you tend to get into the trap of being too confident and that's something you want to avoid because bringing in new rules to an established genre is a recipe. Disclosure is a cool band though, because they know exactly what to do and when to do it, which is a major plus in this regard.Their Settle album was performed in more than 15 countries throughout Europe and North America, something that definitely shows the great value that Disclosure has a band!It can be very hard and quite frustrating to acquire astounding results but they did it, and they became so successful that they actually created their own record label which is named Method Records and which, alongside their own music, promotes other acts such as Tourist, Lxury, Karen Harding and Friend Within.Lastly, Disclosure is set to release their second album named Caracal this September, so we are definitely going to hear more coming from the rather soon, which is really cool to be honest. Should you listen to them? I personally can't be seen as a fan of genre mixing, but I have to say that Disclosure do their job right and I like their songs quite a lot, in fact I am certain that you will like them too. They are relaxing but at the same time bring in that fun electro and house vibe that makes this music stand out!
