Throughout the years, I always try to give back to the amazing community that we live in. This year I had the honour of photographing the Splash of Red fundraising Gala for the HIV Community Link held in the historic Alberta ballroom in The Fairmont Palliser Hotel. It was incredible to meet and hear from Government Officials such as the City of Calgary's Mayor Naheed Nenshi, Alberta's Minister of Status of Women, Honourable Stephanie McLean and Associate Minister of Health, Honourable Brandy Payne.The audience was entertained by celebrity hosts Scott Fee of Global Calgary and Shauna Starr as well as special acts by Juno Award winner, AM Static, Masks International and a Drag Queen Show featuring Makayla Quinn, Krystal Starr, Sister Visa Dekline. If you weren't able to attend this year there will always be 2018 to look forward to! Between the entertainment, food and location it is a Gala not to miss!!
