Why Choose Owler?
Well first and foremost, we have unlimited access to cold brew coffee and string cheese. Need we say any more…
Image

But in case that’s not enough to convince you, we’re a growing team striving to help business professionals be smarter at their job. Every morning, we come into the office focused on doing meaningful work we can really sink our talons into. Each Owler employee is an integral part of our top-tier VC-funded, Silicon Valley startup, and is dedicated to building a competitive insights platform that over 1.5 million professionals around the world find indispensable. Best of all, our team is made up of incredibly smart, phenomenally accomplished, outstandingly driven people. Owler is a company where each team member contributes to our product, company, and culture.

We’re a small but mighty company where you can grow, learn, and do great things. Owlers are wholeheartedly committed to getting stuff done, and we’re looking for skilled, results-driven, problem solvers to join our team. And we hope you can hold your kombucha.

At Owler, we work hard to fundamentally transform and disrupt the business information industry. If you’re a motivated self-starter interested in joining a fast-growing company, we want to hear from you.

Plus, our leadership’s not bad either. We’re funded and founded by a group that includes experienced executives who have seen companies to IPOs and acquisitions. Our CEO, Jim Fowler, previously founded, ran, and sold Jigsaw, which raised $18M in venture funding and was acquired by Salesforce.com for $175M in 2010.

But don’t take our word for it. See what the press is saying about us.

Opportunity To Do Great Things

Image

We’re growing fast (or in tech talk: at an astounding velocity), which gives our employees countless opportunities, whether it’s growing their careers, creating great products, or learning new owl facts. (We bet you didn’t know that owls’ ears are asymmetrically placed to help them hear where sounds are coming from. And that’s just a taste of the owl facts we have to offer.)

Owler is a small team with big goals, which means that every single person at Owler influences our product and company, and every single person has the opportunity to try new things and expand his or her horizons. It also means that we all get a say over what’s stocked in our fridge, so you’ll never want for sriracha sauce again.

A Home Away from Home

Image

When our CEO Jim Fowler started Owler, he had one hiring policy written in stone: no jerks.

And lucky for us, he’s (more or less) kept his word.

Of the many things we’re proud of here at Owler, our team tops the list.

In a small office like ours, each of us helps shape the company and inform the culture. From monthly poker night, to weekly Owler TED talks, to our collective love of Chipotle, each and every employee here at Owler makes his or her mark on the company. And we’re all uniquely talented and specially skilled, resulting in a whole team that is greater than the sum of our individual parts. Think of us like Chex™ Mix personified (the kind with chocolate, duh): some of us are sweet, some of us are salty, but it’s the combination of our differences that makes us tasty great at what we do.

Yet for all our varied interests—yoga, boxing, physics, vests—we’re all wholeheartedly dedicated to doing the very best work possible, and we’re happy to work our tail feathers off doing it. We’re an ambitious group of smart people who dive headfirst into the challenges that we inevitably face. But we’re not the boring, always-serious kind of hard-working, either: we have a good sense of humor and love having a laugh at the expense of our CEO.

And best of all is our group dynamic. Seeing as we do spend the majority of our waking hours together, we feel incredibly lucky to love our coworkers.

Hoo (hoo) is Owler?

But that’s the lowercase version. We’re Owler with a capital O, and we’re shaping the future of business effectiveness. Every day 1.5 million business professionals use our platform to outsmart the competition, gain competitive insights, and uncover the latest industry news and alerts.
We’re powered by a vibrant community of users who’ve helped us become the most accurate source of business information in existence. Best of all, Owler is for everyone: from CEOs of large enterprises, to the lone website administrator, and everyone in between.
And with over 15 million searchable company profiles and a proprietary Competitive Graph, we’re the best platform to help business professionals gather competitive intelligence and discover companies in their space. We provide actionable competitive insights that can’t be found anywhere else.
